So in the theme of the week, I would like to share my summer plans for my website. I shared my summer school plans, my summer craft plans, but most importantly what will The Autism Helper be up to this summer? I’d like to do a change of pace over here at The Autism Helper. The summer posts are going to be ones I refer back to throughout the next school year. I want these posts to be resources that will help you find ideas, printables, and photos. Last summer, I introduced my Seven Steps to Setting up a Stellar Autism Room. It’s time to expand. Instead of one post on each topic – I will be dedicating a week’s worth of posts to each topic. These posts will organize past posts, video tutorials, and materials. These will serve as a quick guide when you need specific information on one area classroom setup. Welcome – the Summer of the Seven Steps.
Here is the break down:
Late August posts will be dedicated to miscellaneous Back to School themed topics! Also – The Autism Helper may be undergoing a little face lift this summer! I am hoping for some exciting add ons such as discussion boards! More to come! Happy Summer Reading!

So excited and can’t wait to see what’s coming next. Your blog has been a true blessing!
Sounds perfect, can’t wait! Thank you!!
Looking forward to reading!
I look forward to your posts daily- now I am even more excited to follow your blog with the intent to make my classroom STELLAR. My two guilty pleasures of the summer– your blog and Mistresses on ABC.
I look forward to reading your seven steps! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Ok so, starting the first autism classroom in our district in Aug. so, is there a minibook, or are each step available for me to purchase on TPT? I’ve been following you for awhile and have several TPT things from you. I’m also inthe midst of working on my masters in autism and ABA ( thus my “getting” to start this class!).
Thank you so much Laura – that means a lot 🙂
I am obsessed with Mistresses! So juicy and good! Haha! Have a great summer! So happ you are finding my site helpful 🙂
Wow – what a big undertaking! At the end of each week – I will post all relevant products! Hope that helps 🙂
Sasha, I have been following you for a while, and just like everyone else, I am in aww over the organization and setup.
This school year we will have a LARGE population of autistic children which will be separated into two classes. Our goal (the new teacher and myself) is to create two Autistic classrooms, on the middle school level.
My question to you, is, would you ever consider posting the template for the student schedule, and teacher/assistant schedule?
Walking with your website daily,
Jeannette
