The Dollar Store is one of my favorite places to shop for materials to create work tasks. Not only is it affordable, but it also offers a variety of objects to get creative and make some work boxes that don’t take much time.
Put-In Tasks:
Various containers and cups with lids can be used to create put-in-task boxes. Pick up a variety of manipulatives from the Dollar Store, along with some baskets and containers, and you will be set.
Sorting Tasks:
Anything can be turned into a sorting task, including hygiene items, pens and pencils, toys, objects, and more. Create some visuals to help structure the task and explain it visually.
