I have a slight obsession with wh- questions. That sounds completely weird, I know. Most people have obsessions with golden retriever puppy dogs, shiny new sports cars, and designer bags. Don’t worry. I love all of those things too but my real obsession is those pesky little who, what, where, when, and why questions. I am a woman on a mission. A mission to teach my kiddos to answer these questions – whether it kills me or not.
My thesis for my graduate program was on teaching wh- question answering. I lived and breathed who, what, where, when, and why for months. The fancy, schmancy title of my thesis was, “The Effects of Multiple Exemplar Training and Transfer of Stimulus Control Wh- Questions Answering of Children with Autism.” I know. You are impressed. Really imprresed. Maybe one of these posts I’ll share my fancy graphs. Long story short – my thesis utilized a structured format of teaching wh- questions one at a time using photographs. And it was freaking successful.
I combined all of my glorious wh- questions resources INCLUDING my thesis materials into one amazing mega pack for you! Introducing my Wh- Mega Pack. It is my new favorite product 🙂 Let me share of these goodies:
Also, I have gotten a TON of requests for my wh- question fluency materials. You ask and you shall receive! Check out the video here.
Everything you need to conduct this AMAZING intervention is included in this packet.
This Wh- Mega Pack packet is 95 pages and is filled with everything you need to fulfill this wh- obsession. Answering questions is SUCH a critical skill and it is beyond important to target this skill in multiple ways! Check out the product preview:

I started doing Wh question fluency with my students like you have and I can already see the awesome results! I LOVE all of your products but this one is in my top 5!! Thanks again!
I am EXCITED about this!! I love all your stuff!!
Looking forward to trying this, but I have 2 questions:
When discriminating between categories do you ever have novel questions for mastered
Categories, or just questions he has already mastered?
Do any of the categories use the same question for multiple categories such as “Amanda is going to the park” asking “Who is going to the park?” and “Where is Amanda going?” I other words are there ways to know they are actually listening to the question and didn’t memorize the answer?
(In early language for learning lessons I often have kids mix up what is your name, what is your teachers name, and what is the name of the school you go to?)
Wow – this is amazing. One of my sons is currently doing wh questions as part of his ABA program. Thanks so much for sharing. This should really help him.
SO happy to hear that!! 🙂
Thanks!
Hi Stacy – Throughout the whole process I there are a huge range of examples so ideally the student is not memorizing the questions and answers but rather responding correctly to the questions. THe constant switching up of examples and using the large exemplar set helps avoid that issue! 🙂
Happy to hear! Let me know how it goes!
Hi I am CF and have just started working in the ABA room a couple of times a week. This packet looks great! Just wondering if it also has smaller paragraphs with like 3-4 sentences to work with wh as well for the higher functioning kids? Thanks!
Hi. Your work looks amazing. Can you please send me the wh question fluency materials as you offered?
Thank you so much. Looking forward
