How did this summer go by so fast?!!! The good news is there is a BACK TO SCHOOL BONUS SALE

How did this summer go by so fast?!!!  The good news is there is a BACK TO SCHOOL BONUS SALE TODAY ONLY on TPT!!!!!  Save 25% when you use the coupon code BTSBONUS.  This is a great time to get materials ready for the school year.

I wanted to give you an overview of all the vocabulary and grammar boards/cards I have created so far which might be a perfect time to check them out with the sale.  I also just finished making “what”, “where”, “who”, “when” and “why” cards!  All these different card sets are perfect to use in small groups or for individual task stations.  Don’t forget to use the coupon code!

Synonym and Antonym Vocabulary BoardsThis set contains 48 synonym boards and 48 antonym boards.  The students need to determine the correct synonym or antonym given a choice of 3 answers.  The students can use paperclips, dry erase markers, or verbally tell you the answer for each board.

Category Cards – The set contains 72 Name that Category and 72 What Doesn’t Belong cards.
Name that Category – For these cards I have the students name all 3 items on the card to work on building up those vocabulary skills.  Then I have the students tell me how the items are related or the category name.

What Doesn’t Belong – I have been working with some of my students on “because” so for the What Doesn’t Belong cards the students have to not only identify which item does not go in the group but they also have to explain why which is really challenging.  I’m sure some of you have had the same situation where the student can easily identify which item doesn’t belong in a group of items but struggles to complete the “because” part.
Feature and Function Cards – This set contains 63 cards which focus on identify the correct item given a description of the item.  For example, “find the one who flies”.  The student needs to identify the “bee” as the one that flies in the group of 4 animals.

Similarity and Differences Cards – This set contains 72 cards which focus on identifying one similarity and one difference between 2 items.  This can be really challenging for students to answer that “why” component between the 2 items.
Association Cards – The set contains 72 cards which require the student to identify which 2 items from a group of 4 items have a relationship and why.  These cards are different then just naming categories or identify which item doesn’t belong in a group of items which makes it a little more challenging for students.

I have…Who has Category Game Cards – This set contains 4 different I Have…Who Has…” games and each game set has 24 cards.  It’s always more fun working on vocabulary skills while playing a game with peers!

Regular and Irregular Past Tense Grammar Boards This set contains 48 regular past tense boards and 48 irregular past tense boards.  The students need to determine the correct form of the regular or irregular past tense verb form given a choice of 3 answers.  The students can use paperclips, dry erase markers, or verbally tell you the answer for each board.

Future Tense Grammar Boards – This set also contains 48 future tense boards which are set up the same way.  The student needs to determine the correct future tense verb form to fill in the sentence.  You can again have the student verbally tell you the answer or mark it will a clothespin or dry erase marker.

Pronoun Grammar Boards – This set contains 60 pronoun grammar boards.  The student needs to choose the sentence using the correct he/she/they pronoun to pair with the given picture.
Plural Grammar Boards – This set contains 60 regular and irregular plural boards.  Again, the students need to determine the correct plural form for each picture given a choice of 3 answers.

Present Progressive Grammar Cards – This set contains 72 Present Progressive Grammar Cards.  The students need to finish the sentence by adding the correct present progressive verb form.  This is also great to work on answering those “what doing…?” questions.
Helping Verb Grammar Cards – Has/Have and Is/Are – Each set contains 72 cards for each helping verb set.  Lots of practice for these helping verbs.  You can read the card to your student and have them determine the correct helping verb to fill in the blank.  For example “the cars ___ wheels”.  I have the student determine if they need to use “has” or “have”.
Is/Are Grammar Cards This set contains 72 cards which require the student to fill in the blank using the correct “is” or “are” helping verb.  The more practice the better when working on grammar skills.

Has/Have Grammar Cards – This set also contains 72 cards which require the student to fill in the blank using the correct “has” or “have” helping verb.
Possessive Pronoun Grammar Cards – This set contains 72 cards which require the student to fill in the blank using the correct “his, her, or their” pronoun.

What, Where, Who, When, and Why Question Cards Each set contains 45 cards to focus on answering that specific “wh” question.  These cards provide lots of practice to work on that challenging goal of answering questions.
