My kids conned me into a double cooking extravaganza – shamrock shakes AND green rice krispie treats. How could I resist their adorable little faces. We had so much fun though and both of these cooking activities are relatively short. They love watching the marshmallows get huge in the microwave. It’s like a Willy Wonka experience. Their reactions were priceless 🙂
No visual recipe for these puppies – we were advanced! We used the recipe on the box! I know = crazy talk. But sometimes it’s really important to work on all of those cooking skills generalizing to real life situations. I know my kids can follow a recipe that has visual cues – but what about a real recipe? How far along are they on that? They did pretty well actually and the rice krispie one is a perfect one to start with because it is short and sweet 🙂 So give it a whirl and whip up a batch at your St. Patty’s party or just for a fun treat!
