Small group instruction is essential for a classroom with students with a wide range of skill sets. We want students to get work that is “just right” – not too easy and not too hard. In this episode, learn the big picture best practice for running small groups. Start of by grouping students with similar goals. Establish clear expectations and schedules for both students and staff. Then, when running groups review those expectations and mini-schedules each session and embed reinforcement throughout.
