You ready for a math challenge? Any of you have kiddos who are a complete math whiz? I do. And to be completely honest – I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with him. I was excited to review this app because I don’t often seek out complicated or challenging math apps because I tend to look for apps that will be good for a larger group of my students than just one. But to be honest – the iPad is the perfect place for differentiation. If I get a few on target apps for each student, they will all be working at their correct level!
This app is similar to scrabble but with math. You play against the computer. My little guy loved that! He kept calling it magic (awww!). You use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division which is great for discrimination, switching between functions, and higher level thinking. I was so impressed with my student’s ability to rock this game! He did so well. This makes me motivated to find more higher level apps for him. Gotta keep my kiddos challenged!
