So much to do, yet so little time.  Don’t let this time of the year be stressful or overwhelming.  Follow this guide for all things holiday lesson planning and gift ideas!

Lesson Planning

Making lesson plans for the classroom during the holiday season ranks high as my favorite thing to plan for during the school year.  Here are some fun holiday ideas to incorporate into these last few weeks of the semester.

Snowball Fight

You don’t need real snow to bring this fun activity into the classroom.  And do you want to know the best part about it?  It will cost you NOTHING!  All you need is some paper, and let the fun begin.  You can also sneak some academics into this snowball fight.  Write some math facts, sight words, or questions about a specific unit.  Have the students answer the question on the paper, crumble it up, and throw it!  You can get creative and modify this activity to meet the needs of your students. 

Holiday Cooking

Another activity that can work on a variety of skills is cooking.  One of my favorite things to do is make cut-out cookies and decorate.  I love to see the creativity that decoring cookies brings out of each student.  Of course, the best part is getting to eat the cookies!  Here are some other holiday cooking ideas:

  • Hot Chocolate 
  • Grinch Popcorn
  • Candy Cane Fudge
  • Snow Pudding Cup
  • Ice Cream in a Bag
  • Holiday Trail Mix

Yes! We are happy to work with school districts to complete orders from our store for individual or groups of teachers. We accept purchase orders, can provide formal estimates, or complete any vendor paperwork you may need to support your district’s purchasing process.
