Functional Literacy: Independent Work Tasks

Since we are all living in the land of the under staffed – sometimes our kids are doing a wee

Since we are all living in the land of the under staffed – sometimes our kids are doing a wee bit more independent work than we would prefer them to be doing. Silver lining is that the skill of being able to work independently is an essential life skill but the struggle can be making sure the work that our students are doing is appropriately at their level and hits both those functional AND academic concepts. Today let’s let the pictures do the talking and let me share my favorite work tasks and independent activities that are perfect blend of functional and literacy based. Most of these tasks are hand made 🙂 or from my Work Task Mega Pack, Advanced Work Task Mega Pack, or Social Studies File Folders.
