What is the The Autism Helper Curriculum?

The Autism Helper Curriculum is a structured and visually based curriculum designed specifically for learners with autism. This curriculum is year-long and encompasses a wide range of concepts within each subject area. Complex concepts are broken down into smaller manageable pieces to ensure a strong foundation in each area. These basic component skills scaffold as they gradually increase in difficulty. Each concept is taught directly and specifically using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Data based instruction is tied by utilizing pre and post assessment data for future curricular decision making. Supplementary hands-on activities, independent tasks, and homework for each level are included under Extension Activities.
