Classroom Video Tour

My room has a very similar setup as last year so I want to share last year’s video tutorial. It gives a great quick peek into the different centers, structure, and organization of my room. I am a visual person myself. It’s a struggle for me to read a bunch of text or listen to someone tell me about something. I have to see it. And even better I need to watch it. See it in action. Hence my obsession with video tutorials. Hope you guys are obsessed too. Here is last year’s video tour of my classroom:

  1. You really set the bar! As an SLP I get so many ideas from you to introduce to the mod-sev SDC teachers at my middle school. 🙂

Quick feedback – please make sure your videos are horizontal, not vertical! I’m guessing this was taken on a phone, but it really makes it much harder to get a sense of the room.

  2. Great to hear! Great point – I often have very limited time to get videos done and will definitely keep that in mind!

  3. Hi, I really like how you have your classroom set up. Everything organized and right at your fingertips! However, I was wondering since you have everything sectioned off and probably can’t see every kiddo at every second, do you find they get distracted and off task more easily?

  4. No actually the opposite – I think they can focus more on their work because of the physical division 🙂

  5. Wow!! This is an amazing classroom. As a parent of a child that was just diagnosed a little over a year ago. I would love to see something like this in his school.

  8. This room was really big (I was spoiled for a few years). Not sure of the square footage.
