A few years ago, an OT shared this awesomely fun and seasonal idea that I was only too excited to bring back this year. If you search on pinterest – there are TONS of great ideas for seasonal sensory bins. I love the idea of having a monthly themed sensory in preschool or early childhood classrooms. It was a special treat for my older boys and I set this up in a bunch of my client’s early childhood classrooms! It’s fun and engaging and you can incorporate so many difficult skills into this activity. And the best part – your kids won’t even realize that they are working!
For the Christmas Sensory Bin, she died the rice red and green.
She put in loads of mini Christmas items and kids worked on receptive language skills & sequencing!
To make it even more amazing, she threw in some peppermint extract so it smelled perfectly seasonal!
Enjoy this fun & quick activity! 🙂
