One my bestsellers and personal favorite resources if my 10 Writing Centers for Early Childhood or Special Education. It’s space-efficient, visual, structured, and focuses on a wide range of skills. I decide to use the same structure and setup that has been so successful for my writing centers in creating a math version! Introducing 10 Math Centers for Early Childhood or Special Education! We have been using these centers for the past few months and I am in love! I may even love this set of centers even more than the writing version.
To put it nicely, math is not my favorite subject but this resource makes it so much more bearable! Plus, I have a tendency to focus on math equations. My kids are so far behind on completing math operations and it can be so tricky for some of my kids that I feel like I need to focus all of my math energies there. But in doing so, I’m slacking out so many critical and functional math skills such as time, money, fractions, measuring, estimating, patterns, and more. This resource makes sure my kids are getting a well-rounded math education!
This resource contains 10 Math Centers. Each Center comes with visual directions, worksheets, and task cards.
Include these visual final check and reminder cue cards in each center. A must have!
Here are the centers! Scroll through to see all 10!
I love the schedule that students can use to select their centers:

I am so excited to purchase this!
Enjoy! We’ve been loving it!
Your website is amazing!!!! I get so many new ideas every day. What would you do with your lower level kids? I teach a K-5 communication disordered classroom and some of my kiddos are still working on number recognition etc. Also, do you have all your students doing math at the same time or incorporate it into centers? Thank you!
Thanks for reading, Molly! For my lower functioning kids we do one on one direct instruction of those skills. Check out this product for independent math work:https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Interactive-Math-Work-Book-Level-1-1462631
Love this! Do you just have multiple copies of each worksheet in the binder so that when another student comes to the center they have a blank page to use? What do they do with their worksheet when they are finished?
Yep! I put a whole bunch so I don’t have to update for a while. They put the finished papers in a finished bin and I check once a week.
I love all of your visuals and it seems like you put in so much thoughtful detail into differentiating it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for reading!
Do you find that they tend to pick the same binders everyday? I’ve looked around and most teachers seem to prefer telling their students to go do activity x/y/z instead of giving them choice.
Great question! Some kids I will make a schedule and tell them which to do but I honestly really like giving them the option to make a choice. So much our kids’ days are scheduled so I like giving them the option to decide for themselves. Last year, I had students submit their finished work and we reviewed every Friday. I gave extra point, tons of praise, and made a huge deal about the kids that did variety of binders. If student did the same binder every day or same few I provided less reinforcement. This helped a lot in getting a better variety in their work!
Hello! I teach an Acadrmic Life Skils class K-5. I have students an all different levels and disabilities and needs. Would you recommend this for me to use in my room? Love them btw!
Also what is the difference between the work tasks and the math stations, etc?
Yes! Check out the video preview in the product description to see the exact levels of the centers!
Work tasks are task boxes with all types of academic, functional, and basic skills included. Here is a post: https://theautismhelper.com/independent-work-system/. These math centers are only focused on academic based math skills! 🙂
Sasha,
I am really interested in buying your Math Centers to use in my classroom. Is that possible? I don’t see it when I go to Teachers pay Teachers.
Thanks,
Mary
